Ski & snowboard

"Insanely big" - With 284 kilometers of slopes, 90 ski lifts and cable cars as well as over 80 huts and restaurants, the ski area in the Kitzbühel Alps is one of the largest and most family-friendly ski resorts. After all, children up to the age of 15 travel free in the low season when accompanied by a parent. In addition, you can expect a real highlight: "Night skiing" in Söll from Wednesdays to Saturdays at the Hochsöll, Hexen6er and Hans im Glück lifts on a total of 11 kilometers of floodlit slopes down to the valley.

Winter hiking

Winter hikes in our region are a special pleasure. In the snowy season you can enjoy wonderful moments of tranquility in nature. Fairy-tale snow-covered forests, clear winter air, wide views over the Tyrolean mountains - what more could you want?

 

 

Tobogganing

Everyone from the youngest to the grandparents takes part: Everyone can go tobogganing and is a great pleasure for everyone who is looking for a change from the ski slope.

 

Also with tobogganing you can enjoy a ride in the dark. The illuminated "moon toboggan run" can be easily reached with the Hochsöll gondola lift. With a lengh of 4km it is aso the longest toboggan run in the Wilder Kaiser region.

Cross-country skiing

Our region offers you over 65 kilometers of cross country trails.

 

Beginners and experts can run their laps on the sunny side between the four Kaiser towns of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll.

There is a special cross-country treat in Scheffau: an illuminated trail.

Après ski

In the Wilder Kaiser holiday region you can enjoy the perfectly groomed slopes of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental during the day.

 

After skiing, you can stop off at one of the great mountain and ski huts. There you will not only be spoiled with regional delicacies, you can also drink a glass or two.

 

When the gondolas shut, the day of skiing is not over. Après ski bars and pub wait for your visit in the valley.

Ski bus 

The ski buses run daily between the various districts in winter and are free for you with a valid lift ticket or the GuestCard.

Our "Hotel Gänsleit" bus stop is right in front of the hotel's main entrance door. The bus brings you comfortably to the Söll valley station in about 2 minutes.
